NASCO takes a design, technology, fuel and vendor-neutral approach to the development and implementation of our renewable energy production systems. We are not distributors nor dealers for any specific line of equipment and are therefore not beholden to any specific solution. Nor do we believe that any particular renewable energy technology is inherently superior over another. We recognize that context, location, resources, state laws, utility RECs, incentives, institutional mission, etc., all have an impact in determining the best technology options that meet the specific financial and operational needs of our clients.

As an EPC (engineer, procure & construct) contractor, we routinely team with critical sub-contractors and engineering firms that meet our exacting and demanding standards for quality, service and competence in unique and challenging projects.

NASCO’s focus is on sustainability that utilizes local energy and waste resources for the benefit of local communities, businesses and institutions. Therefore we do not believe that the options should be either fossil fuel or renewable energy. Instead, we have found it often makes the most sense to integrate both types of energy in order to provide stability, reliability and strong financial returns.

In addition, we are constantly working to examine opportunities for the implementation of combined heat and power (co-generation) or combined, heat, power and cooling (tri-generation). Integrating efficient power generation with thermal energy production results in the single greatest increase in energy efficiency, financial performance and the smallest possible carbon footprint.
